Indonesia 4x4 Expedition, Hulu Kapuas 2011

Indonesia 4x4 Expedition, Hulu Kapuas 2011 was an off road expedition activity organized by IOF (Indonesian Off Road Federation). Chairman of the IOF, former Chief of Indonesian Police, Gen. (Ret) Rusmanhadi was proudly opened the ceremony and released the expedition team in Pontianak on 15 March 2011. Over 20 off-roaders coming from some of Indonesia regions participated in the adventure. The event which was covered by some newspapers and televisions stations was enthusiastically welcomed by local authorities and communities.

PT . SOG Indonesia as the main sponsor of the expedition proudly backed up and supported the team in terms of communication of the adventures using THURAYA Satellite Communications. PT. SOG Indonesia took the opportunity to launch its satellite communication products and also promote the borderless communications services to mining, plantations and agro industries as well as shipping companies in Kalimantan region.

Using the Thuraya IP, Sattrans, Thuraya XT and Thuraya SO2510 the team members took the advantage of the high caliber data and voice communications devices to access email and contact family members at their hometowns. The equipments were very significant for the whole team as they could keep updating the global situation and could continuously in contact with friends, staff, and family members even though they were in the midst of Kalimantan jungle. The team were very pleased and satisfied with the performance of the Thuraya satellite communications equipments.

Both Chairman and members of the IOF expressed their appreciation to the Thuraya Satellite communications equipments supported by PT. SOG Indonesia in the 4x4 Hulu Kapuas Expedition.
